When I say I’m going to therapy, my family and friends already know I’m going to go get a cut with Joe at Ferry Barbershop. My pops would get a cut from his dad, and for years Joe has taken care of me since I was a kid. So much so that even after moving out of the Ironbound, Im still willing to deal with the traffic (more so with a Redbulls game) just to sit on his chair for not just a solid cut, but for the genuine conversations that are had. This place is a staple of the Ironbound for decades now, not just another pop up shop with a revolving door of barbers. A lot is said when you have the same barbers working in your shop for so long. I’ve been going here since 1980 family owned businesses well dedicated and professional I’ve known Joe from grammar school his father use to cut my hair my father’s and my brother’s and know Joe his doing it it’s a shame the city of Newark has all these homeless people on the side walks they should do more to keep a business that’s been around for decades safe
